When we give, we are sowing seeds.

 

Giving is a biblical principle that can produce a rich harvest in our lives. The Bible is very clear that we are called to give generously.

 

Luke 6:38, “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

 

We don’t give to just simply receive. It is through our giving where the greatest blessings and provision can be seen.  Giving does something to the heart. God wants us to live with a spirit of giving because He is concerned with the condition of our hearts.

 

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says, “whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully[a] will also reap bountifully. each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” So, Paul’s writing shows us that the Lord takes a special delight in those who are joyful, those whose who are excited, and those who are eager givers.

 

Therefore, we pray that you find it in your heart to give.
